PARTS STOREPERSON WANTED

We are looking for a motivated Parts Store person to join our Welshpool team and help deliver the exceptional service United is known for. In this role, you will support the efficient operation of our central stores, ensuring parts are received, organised, maintained, and available when required.

You will play an important role in managing inventory, processing parts requests, supporting purchasing activities, and working closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and action all parts enquiries, including retail and internal requests
  • Assist with purchasing functions, including raising purchase orders through Great Plains to replenish central stores
  • Support inventory management and process parts requests within the central store
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and freight providers
  • Receive and process parts requisitions
  • Receive, check, and organise incoming parts deliveries
  • Manage surplus parts returned from service vans back into the central store
  • Complete daily and weekly cyclic stock counts within the central store
  • Conduct monthly service van stock counts
  • Process purchasing requirements, including purchase orders for central stores, service vans, and onsite containers
  • Assist with service job costing and parts quoting activities
  • Maintain clean, organised, and efficient stores and shared areas

About You

  • Previous experience working in a store, warehouse, parts, or inventory environment
  • Experience with picking, packing, stock control, and managing minimum/maximum stock levels
  • Strong understanding of customer service and internal business processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external freight and logistics providers
  • Sound product knowledge within parts, equipment, automotive, or a related industry is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy and confidence learning new systems (Great Plains experience advantageous)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
