Thind Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team in Ellenbrook, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and related systems for a range of vehicles and machinery.

This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Task & responsibilities

Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and components
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, and other components
Perform routine servicing including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure optimal performance
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately
Inspect vehicles and machinery for roadworthiness and compliance
Replace defective parts such as fuel injection systems, pistons, bearings, and valves
Maintain service records and documentation of repairs
Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards

Qualification & experience

• AQF Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Diesel Motor Mechanic

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems

• Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagnostic data

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Valid driver’s licence (preferred)

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
