Workshop Maintenance Supervisor

Performance Mining is seeking an experienced and driven Workshop Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Pinjarra Workshop and oversee a small team delivering maintenance and repairs across a fleet of major OEM Heavy Mobile Equipment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role suited to a trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with strong technical capability and a proactive approach to leadership. You will lead from the front, supporting your team with diagnostics, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective workshop operations.

This role will suit someone who takes ownership, sets high standards, and enjoys building a positive, high-performing team culture while remaining actively involved on the tools when required.

What's On Offer

• Salary-based role

• Local Pinjarra workshop-based position

• Monday to Friday, 5:2 roster (10-hour days)

• Fully maintained company vehicle and fuel card

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Pinjarra Workshop

• Drive safety, productivity, quality, and workshop performance

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small maintenance team

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate workshop and field maintenance activities

• Coordinate breakdown response and minimise equipment downtime

• Manage work orders, maintenance records, and workshop reporting

• Oversee parts procurement, inventory, and supplier relationships

• Manage workshop resources and maintenance expenditure to support efficient operations

• Assess repair, rebuild, and replacement strategies to maximise equipment reliability and availability

• Oversee machine on-hire and off-hire maintenance requirements

• Provide technical support and guidance to trades when required

• Supervise contractors and maintain strong client relationships


About You

• Mobile Plant Mechanic qualification or equivalent

• Dual Trade qualification highly regarded (Auto Electrician)

• Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor or similar leadership role

• Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflow, and drive workshop performance

• Experience managing maintenance expenditure, parts procurement, and workshop resources

• Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills

• Able to balance equipment reliability, operational requirements, and practical maintenance decision-making

• Extensive experience working on CAT, Komatsu, and other major OEM Heavy Mobile Equipment

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability

• High standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism

• Strong communication and people leadership skills

• HR Licence
