About the role

Phoenix Motors is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to join our team in Wangara, WA. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our inventory operations and ensuring the efficient flow of stock throughout our organisation. As Stock Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, vehicle pre-delivery and registration activities and provide support the sales teams. This position is based on-site at our Wangara dealerships and is integral to the smooth running of our administrative and operational functions.

Key responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle stock records using inventory management systems and databases

  2. Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies

  3. Monitor stock levels and prepare reports on inventory status for management review

  4. Coordinate the pre-delivery, registration and detailing of vehicles to ensure on-time customer deliveries.

  5. Liaise with suppliers, sales and service teams to manage stock movements and requirements.

  6. Identify and implement improvements to stock procedures, to assist with aging inventory profiles.


What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience in stock control, inventory management or a similar administrative role within a retail environment - dealership experience highly regarded.

  2. Strong proficiency with inventory management systems and databases, including experience with dealer management systems - eraPower experience highly regarded.

  3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

  4. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry

  5. Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers

  6. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving stock control processes
