We are looking for 4wd and camping enthusiasts who want to join our team.
If you tinker on your car on the weekend and haven't had any work-based experience but want to get into this industry we still want to talk to you. We are happy to train people who are enthusiastic and want to have a crack.
Off Road Equipment (ORE) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Accessory Fitter (4WD) to join our team on a full-time basis at our Myaree, Western Australia location. This role is central to our operations, as you will be responsible for the professional installation and fitment of a wide range of aftermarket accessories and components onto four-wheel-drive vehicles. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly impact customer satisfaction and the reputation of our business, making this position integral to our success in the automotive accessories sector.
Key responsibilities
Install and fit a variety of 4WD aftermarket accessories including bull bars, tow bars, roof racks, winches, suspension components and interior upgrades to customer vehicles
Follow detailed technical specifications and installation manuals to ensure all accessories are fitted correctly and safely
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure accessories are secure, functional and meet customer expectations
Prepare vehicles for accessory installation, including protective covering and component preparation
Communicate effectively with customers regarding installation timelines, any modifications required and post-installation care
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
Keep accurate records of work completed, including parts used and time spent on each installation
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during or after installation
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood before work begins
Maintain and care for tools and equipment in your work area
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an accessory fitter or in a similar automotive fitting role, ideally within the 4WD or aftermarket accessories industry
Strong knowledge of 4WD vehicle types, their mechanical systems and common accessory installations
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment used in accessory fitment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, installation manuals and vehicle schematics
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different vehicle models and accessory types
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service
A valid driver's license and ability to move between different work stations as required
Physical capability to lift, carry and work with heavy components safely
Reliability and a strong work ethic with the ability to manage time effectively
Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
Experience in a busy, fast-paced workshop environment is advantageous
