Graphic Design and Digital Print Production (Training provided)

This role is for a full time Graphic Designer with demonstratable design experience to join one of Australia’s leading print and design business. Graphic Design Requirements:

 

-Minimum of 3 years and/or Demonstratable print design experience (preferably within the industry)

-Pre-press Experience and an understanding of the print processes

-Full Proficiency with Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop and Acrobat

-Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands and meet tight deadlines

-Strong attention to detail, refined organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills.

 

Core Graphic Design Duties:

·         Designing and editing artwork within set timeframes.

·         Monitoring Workflows

·         Ability to prioritise and plan work, as well as adjust as needed.

·         Go through artwork briefs with colleagues and clients, develop, and provide concepts.

·         Create digital layouts and images using a combination of artwork packages such as Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.

·         Record all time spent on all aspects of artwork production for costing and estimating purposes

·         Create finished artwork in accordance with Worldwide Specifications for transfer.

·         Create designs and utilise our in house marketing campaign software (training provided)

·         Create, program and design our B2B online templates (training/assistance provided)

·         Communicating directly with clients and suppliers via phone, email and face to face in a professional and friendly manner.

 

 

Digital Print Production:

(Not Required: Digital Print Production Experience – On the Job Learning/Training Provided)

(Required: A motivated attitude and an appetite to learn new abilities, to assist and problem solve)

 

- Requires a high degree of accuracy, literacy and numeracy and a good ability to problem solve and troubleshoot solutions.

- Computer literacy is required with a demonstrated level of Microsoft Excel proficiency

- Confident with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.

- A general willingness to learn and assist where possible, with an appetite to expand your skill set

- Willing to operate a variety of Production Presses and finishing equipment with on the job training.

- Willing to acquire Knowledge of materials, production methods and terminology used in design and print/signage production.

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively and efficiently.

- Ability to multitask and prioritise competing workloads effectively and efficiently.

- Ability to work under pressure, maintain a high attention to detail and consistently deliver high quality work to the best of your ability.

 -Ability to work in a small team environment as well as the ability to work unsupervised when required.

- General print studio upkeep and maintenance.

- Generally, a highly motivated individual
