The Role
The Road Maintenance Worker works as a member within the Town’s Roads Maintenance crew. As a crew member, they provide general construction and maintenance services on roads, footpaths, lanes, verges, islands, carparks, crossovers, drainage, signs, traffic control, setting out, rubbish removal and clean-ups.
Selection Criteria
Experience and knowledge in undertaking road construction and maintenance including other associated road reserve infrastructure activities.
Demonstrate working knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of relevant plant and equipment including hand tools.
Demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to safe working practices in a maintenance and operations environment
Sound written and verbal communication skills and numeracy skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and with limited direction.
Demonstrate a good customer service ethos.
Eligibility
Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa)
MR Class Drivers Licence or greater (must be obtained within 6 months of commencement)
Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
Current First Aid Qualification
Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card or Blue Card)
