Senior Installer / Site Lead – Exhibitions & Events

Galaxy Visual Displays is one of Western Australia's leading exhibition, event and display companies.

We design, build and install custom exhibition stands, conference environments, branded displays and event activations throughout Australia.

From major mining conferences and industry exhibitions to custom-built display environments, no two projects are the same. We create installations that help our clients stand out and bring ideas off the page into the real world.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Site Lead to join our team and help deliver projects across Western Australia and beyond.

This is a leadership role, but not a desk-based management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the tools, leading crews, solving problems and delivering high-quality installations.

The Role

Working closely with our Delivery Manager and production team, you will:

• Lead exhibition and event installation crews onsite
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors and site activities
• Read and interpret plans and installation drawings
• Assist with loading, logistics and freight coordination
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Help solve onsite challenges and keep projects moving
• Support workshop preparation and project pack-downs when required

About You

You are practical, organised, calm under pressure and enjoy taking responsibility.

You may come from an exhibition, shopfitting, commercial fitout, staging, events or construction background.

Essential:

• Experience leading installation teams or crews
• Current White Card
• Current driver's licence
• Strong hands-on skills
• Ability to read plans and drawings
• Willingness to travel for regional and interstate projects

Proven experience leading installation teams and delivering projects safely and efficiently is essential.

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.

Highly Regarded:

• Forklift licence
• Truck licence
• First Aid certificate
• Experience in exhibitions, events or commercial fitout

Exhibition experience is an advantage but not essential. We can teach our exhibition systems, including Aluvision, BeMatrix and shell scheme construction. We are looking for leadership, problem-solving ability and the right installation mindset.

What We Offer

• Salary package of $100,000 – $115,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience, licences and leadership capability
• Diverse and interesting projects
• Modern workshop and equipment
• Opportunity to work on major exhibitions, conferences and events across Australia
• Supportive and experienced team
• Long-term career growth opportunities

This role includes regional and occasional interstate travel, supporting installations across Australia.

At Galaxy, we value respect, accountability and teamwork. We work hard, support each other and focus on solving problems rather than assigning blame. Everyone is expected to contribute, communicate openly and take pride in the quality of their work.

We are a small, experienced team where people are trusted to take ownership, make decisions and contribute to the success of each project.

Most importantly, you'll help build unique exhibition and event environments that people notice. No two projects are the same, and you'll have the satisfaction of seeing your work come to life at some of Australia's leading events.

If you're a practical leader who enjoys variety, responsibility and seeing projects come together, we'd love to hear from you.
