As authorised distributors of Centsys and Ditec systems, we are known for professional installations, reliable systems and strong industry reputation.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Field Technician with strong installation capability in gate automation or low-voltage control systems.

This role is primarily installation-focused, requiring confident system setup, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to commission automation equipment to a high standard.

About the Role

You will be responsible for installing and commissioning automated gate systems and associated components across a range of residential and commercial sites.

The position requires strong practical skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver clean, compliant and professional installations. While some service and troubleshooting work is involved, the primary focus of this role is new installations and system upgrades.

You will work independently on-site while maintaining clear communication with clients, office staff and fellow technicians. We value individuals who take ownership of their work and contribute positively to a professional team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Install sliding, swing and boom gate automation systems

• Mount and configure motors, control boards, safety devices and accessories

• Install cabling and low-voltage control wiring

• Commission systems to manufacturer specifications

• Ensure all installations meet safety and compliance standards

• Complete accurate installation documentation

• Provide professional communication with clients on-site

Essential Experience & Skills

Applications will be considered from candidates who demonstrate:

• 3–5+ years' experience in gate automation, access control, security electronics or a related low-voltage trade

• Proven installation experience in automation or control systems

• Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring and control circuits

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams

• Mechanical aptitude and strong practical skills

• Experience working independently in the field

• Professional presentation and communication skills

• Manual Driver's Licence

• White Card

• Ability to provide a National Police Clearance - on request

• Legal right to work in Australia

Highly Regarded

• Trade qualification as an Electronics Equipment Tradesperson

• Experience with Centsys, Ditec, FAAC, BFT or similar systems

• Access control or intercom integration experience

• Practical welding and light fabrication skills to support on-site installations
