About the role

As a Leading Hand Rigger at Advanced Rigging you will play a crucial role in the success of our project delivery. Reporting to the construction manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of riggers and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the structural steel erection component of industrial projects across the Perth metro area.

What you'll be doing

·         Coordinate and supervise a team of riggers to perform structural steel erection, dado panel installation and Delta Core installation tasks

·         Ensure all rigging operations are carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and best practices

·         Provide on-site guidance and training to riggers, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement

·         Liaise with the site supervisor and other construction team members to plan and execute rigging work in a timely and efficient manner

·         Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, including incident reports and equipment inspections

·         Contribute to the development and implementation of improved rigging procedures and techniques

What we're looking for

·         Extensive experience (5+ years) as a leading hand rigger in the Perth construction industry

·         Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to effectively guide and motivate a team

·         Thorough understanding of rigging equipment, lifting techniques, and safety protocols

·         Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address rigging challenges

·         Effective communication skills to liaise with both the construction crew and project management

·         Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

·         Applicant is required to hold a current white card

·         Applicant must hold a current drivers license

·         Applicant must have completed safe working at heights training

·         Applicant is required to hold current WP high risk licence

·         Applicant is required to hold current RI or above high risk licence

·         Applicant is required to hold CPCCBC4022 - Supervise Tilt-Up Work
