This is a workshop-based role (no regular field work), focused on delivering high-quality technical service in a controlled environment. You’ll work on specialized medical devices, primarily portable analyzer systems, ensuring they are repaired, tested, and returned to service with accuracy, efficiency, and full traceability.
Your work directly supports healthcare providers and contributes to patient safety every day.
In this role, you will:
Repair, service, and test medical equipment to high technical and quality standards
Diagnose faults in electronic and mechanical systems using structured troubleshooting methods
Carry out precision bench-based repairs, including fine mechanical work and soldering
Work with small components requiring strong attention to detail and visual accuracy
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, decontaminated, and handled safely in line with infection control procedures
Maintain complete and accurate service records, repair history, and technical documentation
Support efficient workshop workflow, turnaround times, and equipment traceability
Assist with inventory, parts, consumables, and test equipment maintenance
Respond professionally to technical queries and support customer needs where required
Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
You are someone who enjoys technical, detail-focused work and takes pride in doing things properly the first time.
To succeed, you will bring:
A background in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field
2–3 years’ experience in a similar technical or workshop-based role
Strong hands-on technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent manual dexterity and confidence working with small, precision components
High attention to detail in both workmanship and documentation
Confidence working in a structured workshop environment
A strong sense of responsibility around quality, safety, and compliance
Ability to follow procedures while thinking critically when troubleshooting issues
Experience with medical devices or regulated service environments will be highly regarded.
At Getz Healthcare Technical Service, your work directly supports clinical outcomes and patient safety.
You’ll be part of a technical team that values:
Precision and quality over shortcuts
Safe, compliant, and well-documented work
Continuous learning and technical development
A supportive and structured workshop environment
Every repair you complete ensures medical equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use in healthcare settings. Your attention to detail directly contributes to better patient outcomes.
