We are seeking an experienced Homestead Gardener / Cleaner  to join our operations at Fossil Downs Station WA. This role offers a great opportunity to join an exciting, industry leading Agribusiness
 
About the Property
Fossil Downs Station is a historic and iconic cattle property spanning nearly one million acres in the breathtaking Kimberley region of Western Australia. Nestled at the junction of the Margaret and Fitzroy Rivers, the station is home to a comfortable and beautifully maintained historic homestead complex.
Running a herd of 32,500 prime Droughtmaster cattle, Fossil Downs operates an extensive breeding and export program, with mustering carried out by helicopter, horse, and motorbike — all focused on low-stress stock handling.
Located close to Fitzroy Crossing, this spectacular property offers a true Kimberley adventure, surrounded by gorges, rivers, and waterfalls perfect for exploring or fishing on your days off.

About the Role
Your key responsibilities as the Homestead Gardener / Cleaner will be to maintain lawns, decorative and vegetable gardens as well as cleaning and maintaining the homestead, communal laundries, bathrooms and facilities.  
• Undertaking landscaping work as required
• Mowing lawns and using whipper snipper for trimming.
• General planting, pruning and trimming.
• Cleaning duties such as washing windows, sweeping/mopping. Cleaning air-conditioner filters, rubbish management and general maintenance and repairs
 
About You
• Practical experience in gardening and/or horticulture activities including planting, pruning, trimming, weeding, fertilising, mulching, mowing and watering
• Self-motivator and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Good communication, organisational and time management skills
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• A current driver’s licence
• Chemical User’s Accreditation (desirable)
• Qualification in a relevant area such as horticulture or landscaping (desirable)
