The role

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our Perth service team based at Bibra Lake. This is a Monday to Friday workshop-based role with occasional site work supporting hydraulic and mechanical fixed plant equipment.

You will be a key member of the service team carrying out overhaul, repair and testing work. We are looking for a mechanically minded technician who can work autonomously, takes pride in quality workmanship and maintains a strong commitment to safety. Mechanical tradespeople with some hydraulic experience are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to further develop specialist hydraulic skills on the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dismantle, assess, repair, reseal and test hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and manifolds

  • Overhaul hydraulic and mechanical components in the workshop

  • Perform hydraulic tube bending and small fabrication work

  • Test and commission hydraulic equipment and systems

  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records

  • Liaise with clients regarding job scope and findings

  • Support fault finding and hydraulic system troubleshooting

  • Assist with breakdown and maintenance work as required

  • Travel to client sites occasionally for field service work

Qualifications and Experience

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate

  • Experience working on hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and HPUs

  • Strong hydraulic fault finding and troubleshooting capability

  • Experience with hydraulic system maintenance and rebuild work

  • Ability to read drawings and follow technical procedures

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a service team

  • Good written and verbal communication skills for service reporting

  • Current driver’s licence
