Interlec WA Pty Ltd is a well-established Western Australian electrical contractor delivering electrical construction services across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
We are seeking an experienced Powerline Construction Manager to lead and develop our Powerline Construction Division and manage the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
This is an opportunity for a motivated electrical professional to step into a senior leadership role with genuine autonomy, where you will have the ability to shape the growth and direction of the division.
The Electrical Manager – Powerline Construction Division is responsible for the leadership, management, and growth of the Powerline Construction Division of Interlec WA Pty Ltd.
The role is responsible for ensuring that powerline and electrical infrastructure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and in accordance with all regulatory and company requirements, while also contributing to the business development and expansion of the division.
Lead and manage the Powerline Construction Division
Supervise project supervisors, leading hands, electricians and subcontractors
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to construction teams
Maintain high standards of safety, productivity and quality
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
Project Delivery
Plan, coordinate and deliver powerline and electrical infrastructure projects
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Manage project scheduling, resources, procurement and subcontractors
Monitor project performance including cost, quality and schedule
Ensure compliance with electrical legislation, standards and safety requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Attend project meetings and provide reporting
Maintain strong professional relationships with key clients
Business Development
The Electrical Manager will assist the Managing Director in the development and expansion of the Powerline Construction Division, including:
Identifying opportunities for electrical infrastructure and powerline construction projects
Building relationships with utilities, developers, contractors and clients
Assisting with preparation of tenders, proposals and quotations
Supporting the estimating team in developing project pricing and delivery strategies
Representing Interlec in meetings with potential clients
Contributing to strategic growth of the division
Financial Performance
Monitor project budgets and financial performance
Assist with project forecasting and cost control
Identify and manage project variations
Ensure projects are delivered profitably
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
Electrical trade qualification
WA Electrical Workers Licence
Experience with tendering or estimating
Experience in business development or client relationship management
Significant experience in powerline or electrical infrastructure construction
Experience managing construction teams and supervisors
Experience delivering electrical infrastructure or utility projects HV/LV Distribution
Strong leadership , Project Management and organisational skills
Strong commitment to safety leadership and compliance
Experience working on projects involving utility networks, substations, or power distribution infrastructure will be highly regarded.
