Kimberley Regional Service Providers (KRSP) delivers essential services, capital works, and municipal services to Indigenous communities across Western Australia’s remote Kimberley region, including the management of power, water, and wastewater systems, as well as critical maintenance and capital works that enhance the quality of life of Indigenous communities.

About the role   
We are seeking a Municipal Services Supervisor to join and lead our dedicated Municipal Services team based in Fitzroy Crossing.

This role is responsible for overseeing and delivering Municipal services objectives within communities throughout the Fitzroy Valley. This includes managing waste collection, maintenance of communal areas, facilities, and fire prevention. The position will provide leadership and guidance of a team of Municipal Service Officers. 


This position is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to a significant positive impact on the day-to-day lives of the members of communities serviced by KRSP.

Key responsibilities of the role:  

  • Supervise routine rubbish collection, management of communal areas, upkeep of community infrastructure including airstrips, rubbish tips, parks and gardens and maintenance of fire breaks
  • Prepare reports and collection of data
  • Leadership, support and mentoring of Municipal Service Officers
  • Complete all necessary reports, and service sheets
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment is safely stored and maintained
  • Regular, proactive community liaison

Location   
This is a permanent, residential role based in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia. Accommodation, with paid utilities, and vehicle is provided. 


What you will need   
An ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity and safe work practices together with a positive mindset.

Essential criteria:  

  • Ability to work in remote locations, inclusive of experience with driving on remote unsealed roads
  • Ability to manage own work tasks with minimal direction
  • Experience managing a small team 
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with individuals of all backgrounds
  • Current C class driver’s licence and a good driving history
  • First aid certification
  • National Police Clearance
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
