XCircle is a purpose-built manufacturer of engineered, modular critical infrastructure, delivering complete design, manufacture, test and commissioning for Power Train Units (PTUs), Signalling Equipment Rooms, transformer kiosks, switch rooms, AI modular data centres and other prefabricated solutions. We operate vertically integrated facilities and are expanding with a new Neerabup site to support higher throughput and complex modular programmes.
Role Purpose
Hands-on leadership role overseeing workshop fabrication, assembly and finishing to support multiple concurrent modular projects. Lead a skilled team of boilermakers, fitters, welders, electricians and assemblers; ensure production readiness, quality, safety and on-time delivery of factory-ready modules. Coordinate closely with engineering, project management and quality teams in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage daily workshop operations, workflow and resource allocation to meet project schedules.
Supervise, mentor and develop a team of 15+ tradespeople; drive performance and skills growth.
Oversee welding, structural fabrication, bending, shopfitting, assembly, systems integration and powdercoating.
Ensure full compliance with WHS, ISO quality standards and client specs; target zero incidents.
Collaborate with project/engineering teams to translate designs, manage materials and resolve issues.
Track inventory, tools, maintenance and lean practices to boost efficiency.
Support FAT preparation, continuous improvement and production metrics.
Experience and Technical Requirements
Essential
5+ years as Workshop Supervisor/Foreman in heavy fabrication, welding or modular assembly (manufacturing/infrastructure preferred).
Trade qualification (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical/Fabrication/Boilermaking/Electrical or equivalent) with hands-on expertise.
Strong knowledge of structural fabrication, welding standards and mechanical/electrical integration.
Proven team leadership delivering to tight schedules and quality targets.
Solid WHS, risk and quality management experience.
Good communication, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desirable
Modular infrastructure experience (rail signalling, data centres, power units etc.).
Vertically integrated or project-based manufacturing background.
Forklift/high-risk licences.
Immediate start preferred.
