PWR is currently looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to assist PWR's Projects & Service Fire Division. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 3 years' experience in the fire industry & an understanding of installation of relevant fire systems.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Maintaining and servicing all Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to Australian Standards
Setting up, installing, networking and programming of various types of Detection Sensors (e.g. VESDA systems)
Fault finding on various fire systems, networks and access control systems.
Installation and programming of fire panels from various manufacturers (e.g. AMPAC, Notifier)
Installation and programming of various site monitoring systems (eg: Graphics, SCADA,)
Installation and servicing of gaseous suppression systems and equipment.
Developing and maintaining Fire Alarm System and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) reports and documentation

To be successful in your application it is essential that you have:

Current Open Cabling Registration and/or ‘A’ class Electrical license
Fire system Install experience essential
Excellent understanding of AS1851
A valid Manual Australian Driver's License
Min Three Years Experience in Fire Industry
Strong safety focus & excellent attention to detail
Previous mining experience - Desirable
EAHL License (2,3,6) - Desirable
Cert II Fire Protection - Desirable
