PWR is currently looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to assist PWR's Projects & Service Fire Division. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 3 years' experience in the fire industry & an understanding of installation of relevant fire systems.
 
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining and servicing all Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Fighting Equipment to Australian Standards
  • Setting up, installing, networking and programming of various types of Detection Sensors (e.g. VESDA systems)
  • Fault finding on various fire systems, networks and access control systems.
  • Installation and programming of fire panels from various manufacturers (e.g. AMPAC, Notifier)
  • Installation and programming of various site monitoring systems (eg: Graphics, SCADA,)
  • Installation and servicing of gaseous suppression systems and equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining Fire Alarm System and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) reports and documentation
To be successful in your application it is essential that you have:
  • Current Open Cabling Registration and/or ‘A’ class Electrical license
  • Fire system Install experience essential  
  • Excellent understanding of AS1851
  • A valid Manual Australian Driver's License
  • Min Three Years Experience in Fire Industry
  • Strong safety focus & excellent attention to detail 
  • Previous mining experience - Desirable
  • EAHL License (2,3,6) - Desirable
  • Cert II Fire Protection - Desirable
