About the role:

We are seeking enthusiastic, mechanically minded individuals to join our workshop team in an entry-level capacity. This role is perfect for candidates who are keen to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in the repair and assembly of equipment and tools.

Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is not essential — a strong willingness to learn and work safely is more important.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our brand-new Jandakot facility in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities: Include but not limited to

  • Assist with the maintenance and redress of tools under supervision

  • Support experienced technicians in the make-up of tubulars using torque machines

  • Assist with hydraulic pressure testing and basic equipment inspections

  • Load and unload equipment and assist with preparation for transport

  • Learn to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes

  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop

  • Follow IOT Energy Services Quality Policy, safety guidelines, and environmental standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential:

    • Mechanical aptitude

    • Willingness to learn

    • Commitment to safety and teamwork

    Advantageous:

    • Basic understanding of mechanical or hydraulic systems

    • Previous hands-on experience in trades, workshop, mining, or mechanical environments

    • Current Forklift Licence (highly regarded but not essential)

     Training will be provided to the right candidate, including:

    • Forklift Training

    • Dogging Training

    • High-Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) Training
