ACS shares its workshop, offices and administration with our sister company, Pegasus Process Solutions (Pegasus). With some upcoming changes to our team availability, we are now seeking a dedicated Pegasus Accounts Assistant.
The role
We are looking for an experienced, organised and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our small finance team. The role will focus predominantly on Pegasus accounts, while also providing support to the ACS finance team.
Success in this role requires someone who is not only accurate and efficient, but also confident and assertive. You will need to uphold financial processes and timelines, even when faced with last-minute requests or pressure to bypass established procedures. Your ability to maintain professionalism while setting clear boundaries will be essential.
This is a permanent part-time office-based position located in Welshpool, WA. The role is 20 hours per week, worked as 4 hours per day Monday to Friday, with the potential for hours to increase over time.
Key responsibilities:
· Processing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
· Assisting with month-end processes, reconciliation and ad hoc reporting
· Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
· Supporting general administrative and office tasks as required
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
2+ years’ experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of Debtors and Creditors in a Job Costing
Proficiency in business accounting packages (we currently use MYOB Exonet)
Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, in particular Excel and Word
A proactive approach to improving processes and systems
A commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
High levels of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
A current Driver’s Licence
