About our role:
As our
Workshop HSE and Training Advisor, you will play a key role in driving safe work practices, compliance, and continuous improvement across our Muchea Workshop operations. Working closely with our maintenance teams, you will provide practical on-the-ground support, expert guidance, and proactive solutions to ensure our high safety standards are consistently met.
This position is initially based at our Bayswater workshop before relocating to the new Muchea Workshop on a Monday-Friday (5:2) roster.
Your focus in this role: - Uphold compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality Acts, Regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain, develop, and enhance HSEQT programs aligned with workshop and maintenance operations.
- Manage safety registers and monitor updates to legislation and industry requirements.
- Conduct incident investigations (ICAM/Taproot preferred), provide detailed reporting, and oversee corrective/preventative actions.
- Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and communicate safety outcomes clearly across workshop teams.
- Provide day-to-day mentoring, coaching, and practical guidance to ensure safe work behaviours.
What You'll Bring: - Experience in a workshop or maintenance environment within the civil, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in OHS/WHS.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and HSEQ systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and coach workshop personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Experience using ICAM or Taproot investigation methodologies.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (Essential).
- Valid C Class driver's licence.
- Ability to complete a full pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
- Current National Police Clearance.
