About the role
We’re recruiting a Robotic Welding Operator for a newly established manufacturing facility in Pinjarra. This is a hands-on role working in automated welding and CNC environments, supporting production output while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workflow.
If you have experience with robotic cells, CNC/plasma tables, or automated welding environments, and understand the importance of material flow and part preparation in production, we want to hear from you.
This is a great opportunity to get in early and help shape how our new automated workshop operates.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Robotic Welding Technician / Programmer, you’ll be responsible for keeping robotic and CNC welding operations running efficiently and safely.
Your day-to-day will include:
Robotic & CNC Operations
Loading and unloading components into robotic welding cells and CNC/plasma cutting machines
Operating rotators, positioners and material handling equipment
Conducting pre-start and safety checks on equipment and tooling
Following approved work instructions and SOPs
Part Organisation & Workflow
Grouping and staging parts to job travellers and drawings
Preparing components for robotic or manual welding (orientation, cleanliness, ID)
Maintaining steady material flow to avoid production bottlenecks
Basic Fabrication Support
Bandsaw cutting and basic prep work (within your authorisation)
Supporting welders and fabricators with part preparation
Handling materials correctly to prevent damage or rework
Safety & Housekeeping
Maintaining clean, organised work areas
Reporting hazards and equipment issues immediately
Working strictly to workshop safety and PPE requirements
Documentation
Recording completed work and part movements
Reporting faults and production issues
Completing documentation in line with ISO-aligned quality systems
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Tickets
Trade Certificate in Fabrication or related Engineering discipline (mandatory)
C-Class Driver’s Licence
High Risk Licence – Forklift & EWP
Overhead/Gantry Crane Licence
Experience
1–3 years in robotic or automated welding environments
Experience handling materials for robotic cells or CNC/plasma machines
Ability to read and interpret basic fabrication drawings
Workshop or heavy industrial background
