Fitter - Leading Hand

Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experience Mechanical Fitter looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of our Ore Leach plant under direction of the Supervisor.

You will be responsible for:

• Performing planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across the area
• Leading teams from 6 to 20 across multiple work fronts
• Daily entry, creation & reporting of timesheets, hazards and pre-starts for direct employees & contractors as required
• Providing a valuable contribution with resource allocation and planning
• Liaising with production personnel regarding operational requirements and targets

About You

This role will suit a solution focused and experienced Mechanical Fitter looking to development their career in this Leading Hand position.

You will also have:

• An Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter Qualification/s
• Past experience leading a team in a similar plant environment
• Exposure to working with Work Area Permit Systems
• Certificate IV in leadership and management
• Basic dogging/rigging, WAH, CSE, LF, and EWP tickets (Advantageous)
