About the role:
We are looking for someone committed with a great attitude to take on a fixed term full-time contract until 29th May 2026 as a General Hand Arborist to support the maintenance, care and preservation of trees in public spaces, such as parks, streetscapes, and community areas. The role involves tree pruning/maintenance, tree removal and general tree health care, following Australian Standards for tree pruning and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. In addition, this position will operate plant such as chainsaws, chippers and elevated work platforms and follow best practice for tree health and public safety.
The City of Swan is committed to accommodating flexibility within the workplace, where possible. Although this position is advertised as full-time, submissions from applicants that have a preference for part-time hours are invited and will be considered in this recruitment process. Part-time positions would be offered on full-day arrangement on a reduced roster of 1-4 days per week as mutually agreed.

The salary for this position will be from $75,930.43 - $76,884.59 per annum (includes loading), depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
