Position: Motor Mechanic

Salary: $75000 - & 80000

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Inspect engines, braking systems, steering, suspension and other vehicle components to identify faults.
• Repair or replace defective parts, including brakes, suspension components, steering parts, and related systems.
• Carry out tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignment to ensure correct vehicle handling and safety.
• Remove and refit mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, and suspension assemblies when required.
• Test vehicles after servicing and repairs to ensure faults are rectified and vehicles are safe to operate.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean workshop.

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1-2 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Experience working with vehicle servicing, tyres, suspension, and braking systems.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver licence preferred.
