RETAIL MANAGER

The Retail Manager must be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store and managing various team members. Successful candidate must have excellent organisation and communication skills with a great attitude towards other staff and customers. Professional qualifications and at least one year experience required.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the day-to-day operations of the store.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and maintain inventory control systems.
• Ensure products are displayed attractively and store presentation standards are maintained.
• Manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance to achieve business targets.
• Monitor sales performance and prepare operational reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards, and company policies.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
• Coordinate staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during trading hours.
• Maintain security procedures and minimise stock loss and wastage
• Liaise with suppliers and negotiate purchasing arrangements where required

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field; or
• At least one year of relevant retail management experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage store profitability.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail and hospitality environment.
