About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Facilities & Administration Officer to provide administrative support across business areas within a large government organisation. This role will support a range of functions, including facilities, fleet, and general office operations, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across Business and Facilities Services, including reception and switchboard relief
  • Coordinate fleet management tasks such as vehicle repairs, accident claims, infringements, and parking
  • Assist with facilities management, including fire safety, energy and water efficiency, and office/workspace coordination
  • Support corporate travel arrangements and general administrative duties
  • Undertake training to provide backup support across broader admin and clerical teams
  • Ensure all processes and services comply with relevant legislation and policies
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with government and non-government organisations
  • Liaise with external agencies to support service delivery and organisational objectives
To be considered, you will demonstrate
  • Proven experience in administrative support within a busy office environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to support facilities and operational functions, including fleet or office coordination (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and legislation
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support different teams and undertake varied administrative duties
  • Experience within a government or corporate environment (desirable)
Selection Criteria Essential:
  • Demonstrated administrative experience with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • A current Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
