We are currently recruiting for a Mining Manager to lead and coordinate all mining activities at its open-pit gold operation in Thailand.
Ideally you will be able and willing to relocate to Thailand for this residential role. However, there is the option for FIFO (28/14) should relocation not be an option for you.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient and cost-effective mining performance while achieving production targets and driving continuous improvement across safety, productivity, quality and cost. You will work closely with Mining, Geology, Processing and HSE teams to deliver strong mine-to-mill outcomes and support future operational growth.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate all mining activities to achieve production and cost targets
Deliver short, medium and long-term operational performance outcomes
Ensure safe and efficient mining operations and development activities
Oversee mine operational control, productivity and performance monitoring
Support future project development and strategic planning initiatives
Manage mining contractors and ensure performance against agreed targets
Approve mine plans and schedules (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Monitor productivity, costs and operational performance
Manage departmental budgets, forecasts and consumables planning
Monitor ore quality, grades and mining performance data
Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
Establish safe work practices and operational procedures
Lead, coach and develop operational teams
Support workforce capability and training initiatives
Promote respect for local culture and workplace standards.
Key requirements:
Strong safety focus and commitment to continuous improvement
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
Mining Engineering degree and/or Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate
10+ years’ mining industry experience, including 5+ years in management roles, preferably within open pit gold operations
Experience managing mining contracts and contractor performance
Strong budgeting, forecasting and operational planning capability
High level of organisational and problem-solving ability
Previous expatriate experience (preferred).

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to live residentially in a scenic regional community in Thailand. Alternatively, you can work on a FIFO roster that supports either significant periods of time at your existing home base or provide a platform for international travel.
