This position is a fixed term full-time opportunity commencing 1 June 2026 until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

When disaster strikes, clear and timely information can save lives. We are looking for a proactive and adaptable communications professional to help keep Western Australians safe and informed when it matters most.
In this dynamic role, strong writing and communication skills are a must. You will develop and implement communication strategies to promote public information initiatives and ensure communities receive accurate and timely warnings, empowering people to make safe and informed decisions. You will also work to strengthen DFES’ public information capability through the delivery of workshops and training, as well as contribute to the enhancement of the State’s world class warning system, Emergency WA.
