What’s in it for you?
  • Quality work with a 6 billable hour day: work on strong commercial disputes for institutional and substantial private clients, without the usual larger firm hours.
  • A growing Perth team: the office is continuing to grow and is not overly layered, giving you better visibility, more responsibility and room to step up.
  • National firm backing, local team feel: you will have the systems, client base and support of a larger firm, while working closely with Partners and senior lawyers in a collaborative Perth team.
About your new employer:
  • This is a well regarded national firm with a growing Perth office and a commercial litigation team that has a strong reputation in the Australian legal market.
  • The appeal of this role is fairly straightforward: good quality commercial litigation, a 6 billable hour day, close access to senior lawyers and a team that is not so top-heavy that progression feels blocked.
  • The firm has built a genuinely commercial, down to earth culture where lawyers are trusted, supported and given room to develop.
  • They pay above market (top tier salaries), has a strong national platform and is a good option for someone who wants the quality of a larger firm without the same level of internal roadblocks.
About the role:

The work will include:
  • Commercial disputes for institutional and substantial private clients
  • Drafting pleadings, correspondence, court documents and advice
  • Legal research and assisting with matter strategy
  • Managing files, deadlines and competing priorities
  • Working as part of a collaborative and supportive Perth team
The ideal candidate:
  • 3 – 6 years PQE in commercial litigation/dispute resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
