The role
We are seeking a proactive and capable IT & Hardware Technician to support the day to
day technology needs of The Event Mill Group. This role will focus on maintaining and
troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, peripherals and networks across the
business, while also supporting software setup, user support and general IT
improvements. You will play an important part in keeping our team connected, efficient
and well supported in a fast paced working environment.
What you will do
• Install, configure, test and maintain computer systems, hardware and peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and provide timely solutions
• Respond to day to day staff enquiries relating to software, hardware and IT systems
• Determine software and hardware requirements and recommend practical solutions
• Install, update and configure appropriate software and applications
• Ensure efficient use of systems, applications and equipment across the business
• Support and maintain printers, terminals, modems and other peripheral devices
• Repair or replace faulty hardware and equipment as required
• Assist with implementing and maintaining computer networks
• Support website updates and maintenance where required
• Adapt existing programs and systems to better meet user and business requirements
• Help improve internal systems, processes and technology capability over time
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external providers where needed
What you will bring
• 5 or more years of experience in IT support, hardware support or a similar technician role
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and peripheral devices
• Working knowledge of computer networks, system setup and user support
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast paced environment
• A practical, solutions focused approach and strong attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with non technical users and explaining issues clearly
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues through to resolution
• Experience supporting websites or basic web updates would be viewed favourably
• Relevant qualifications in IT, computer systems or a related field would be preferred
