About the Role
We are seeking a driven and technically strong Mechanical Engineer / Technical Business Development professional to support continued growth across our WA operations.
This role combines engineering expertise, technical sales, and hands-on site support, working closely with our branch network, major accounts, and application teams. You will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, delivering measurable safety and reliability improvements, and driving profitable growth across our product portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both technical problem-solving and commercial engagement in mining and industrial environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level engineering and technical sales support across the region.Conduct technical troubleshooting and product failure investigations.Deliver detailed failure analysis and corrective service reports.Perform site surveys in collaboration with application and major accounts teams.Deliver documented safety, reliability, and efficiency improvements for customers.Build and maintain strong relationships with branch teams and key customers.Develop and implement strategic customer growth plans.Conduct customer site visits and technical sales calls across WA.Identify and document cost-saving case studies.Participate in trade shows and industry expos.Perform hands-on service work aligned with mining strategies.Coordinate project labour and oversee delivery of materials, plant, and equipment to site.Assist with product training for both customers and internal teams.
About YouMechanical Engineering degree preferred, though other engineering disciplines will be considered.Valid Driver's LicenseExperience in technical sales, engineering services, or mining/industrial environments is highly advantageous.Willingness to travel across Western AustraliaStrong negotiation and commercial acumenExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage technical and commercial discussions at all levelsStrategic thinking and planning capabilityStrong collaboration skills across sales, engineering, and operations teamsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentCommitment to developing product and industry knowledgeMinimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in engineering, technical sales, or related field is required.
