Pilatus is seeking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Storeperson to help ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse team at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Pearce Bullsbrook WA, supporting the Pilatus PC-21 training aircraft.

Job Description

 We are looking for a dedicated and detail-orientated Technical Storeperson to help ensure the efficient operation of our warehouses at RAAF Base Pearce. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Administering an efficient stock control system in providing accurate stock accounting and stock availability to meet the operational requirement, including material reporting.   

• Custody of all spares.

• Conduct annual stocktake.

• Management of the quarantine store.

• Monitor material shelf life and ensure stocks are issues in accordance with ‘First-in-First-out’ principle or on shortest shelf-life remaining basis.

• Perform packing, handling, storage and transport of goods.

• Communicate and liaise with stakeholders on material supply subjects and issues.

• Follow safety regulations with respect to material storage and handling of Dangerous Goods (DG’s).

• Contribute to the component maintenance planning activities as required.

• Assist with logistics queries and issues and generating and monitoring stock levels to achieve maintenance requirements.

• Assist with the maintenance of instructions, processes and procedures.

• Obtain quotations for local procurement and raise purchase / subcontract orders in accordance with procurement process.

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to operate within and support a cohesive, customer focussed, team environment.

• Ability to use or learn to use information technology tools for supply support and asset management.

• Ability to handle various components and consumables in a warehouse, including receipt and dispatch.

• Working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.

• (Desirable) Working knowledge of SAP.

• (Desirable) Experience in relevant warehouse or material support positions.

• Collaborate with aircraft technicians on material supply matters.

• Hold or willing to obtain a Perform High Risk Work Licence to operate a forklift.

• Hold or willing to obtain a Dangerous Good & Explosive Ordnance qualification.

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain an Australian Federal Police (AFP) National Police Certificate.

• Must be able to hold an Australian Government Baseline security clearance.

• Hold a valid Driver’s Licence.

• Employment contingent on satisfactory background screening.

• Undergo a pre-employment medical.

• Full-time position following a three-month probationary period.
