We are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager – Reality Capture & Survey to lead growth across our Reality Capture portfolio, supporting customers within surveying, engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, and asset management sectors.

The Role

This is a strategic sales and business development role responsible for driving revenue growth, developing key customer relationships, and expanding Aptella’s presence across the Reality Capture and Survey market.

You’ll work closely with customers, industry stakeholders, technical specialists, and national sales teams to deliver innovative hardware, software, and workflow solutions that help organisations capture, manage, and utilise spatial data more effectively.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Drive revenue growth across Reality Capture, Survey, and Geospatial technology solutions

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across engineering, construction, infrastructure, mining, utilities, and surveying markets

  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor for Reality Capture and digital workflow solutions

  • Develop and execute territory and account growth plans aligned with business objectives

  • Present solution-based proposals that demonstrate business value, efficiency gains, and project outcomes

  • Collaborate with technical consultants and sales teams to deliver successful customer outcomes

  • Support product demonstrations, customer workshops, and commercial negotiations

  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, competitor activity, and customer requirements

  • Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and marketing initiatives

  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management through D365 CRM systems

About You

You are a proactive and commercially focused sales professional with a passion for technology, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to drive growth in technical markets.

You bring:

  • Experience in business development, solution sales, or account management within surveying, geospatial, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or related industries

  • Strong understanding of Reality Capture, digital twins, laser scanning, mobile mapping, BIM, geospatial, or surveying workflows

  • Proven success in new business acquisition, pipeline development, and complex solution sales

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to engage stakeholders ranging from technical users through to senior decision-makers

  • Strong organisational skills and a disciplined approach to CRM management, forecasting, and reporting

  • A self-driven, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented mindset

Experience with Reality Capture technologies, digital twins, point cloud workflows, Autodesk, Bentley, or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
