The Australian Mining Review (AMR) is an industry-leading publication and media platform serving Australia’s mining sector. We’re expanding our commercial team and looking for an energetic, driven and commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help fuel our growth.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on the thrill of new business, loves talking to people and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and make things happen.
Key Responsibilities
Hunting & New Business Generation
Proactively identify, research and engage new prospects across the mining supplier ecosystem.
Run outbound call campaigns with confidence, enthusiasm and strong commercial awareness.
Secure discovery calls, understand client needs and position AMR’s products as the ideal solution.
Pipeline & Proposal Management
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through HubSpot.
Prepare tailored proposals and advertising recommendations.
Follow up leads with speed and persistence to ensure high conversion rates.
Track all activity and communications with accuracy.
Client Reactivation
Re-engage lapsed and dormant clients through structured outreach.
Diagnose previous barriers to conversion and turn them into fresh opportunities.
Present updated product offerings, value propositions and campaign concepts.
Sales Support & Collaboration
Work closely with Account Managers and Editorial to align client campaigns with upcoming features, categories and content plans.
Contribute to weekly team meetings, pipeline reviews and sales strategy sessions.

Curious about mining and B2B media. No industry experience required. but the willingness to learn is essential.
