Here at Office Solutions IT, we favour honest, smart and fun individuals who have a drive to grow and care about helping others. Here we do things differently. That's why we've grown to over 120 team members in 5 short years!
We ask why, we find better ways to use technology and we're always learning. Which means we have an incredible opportunity for a Software Engineer whose values connect with our own. We also offer:
An amazing supportive team culture, monthly free team lunches, social club events and company Discord server
Career growth and development, training, certification incentives, and we always promote our senior roles from within first!
If you've got a couple of years of development experience under your belt and you're hungry to build a lot — this is your role.
As a Software Engineer at OSIT, you won't spend years grinding away on a single monolith. You'll be shipping internal tools, integrations, automations, dashboards, small utilities and client-facing micro-apps across our portfolio — often a new one every few weeks. The breadth of work is hard to overstate: one week you'll be wiring up a ConnectWise integration, the next you'll be building a Power BI companion tool, the week after that you're prototyping an AI-assisted internal app from scratch.
Working in an MSP is genuinely exciting. We support over 100 businesses across Australia, and the problems land fast: a Partner needs a reporting tool by Friday, a client wants a custom integration with their line-of-business system, our Capacity team needs a dashboard to spot pressure points across our 14 support teams. You'll see the impact of what you ship almost immediately — sometimes the same day it goes live. There's no waiting six months for a release cycle and wondering whether anyone uses it.
Sitting within our Service Delivery Team and reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you'll work alongside our Senior Software Engineer and the broader engineering group. You'll get hands-on mentoring, code reviews that actually teach you something, and the kind of variety that turns a 2-year developer into a 5-year developer faster than just about anywhere else.
You'll build real things. You'll break real things. You'll learn fast.
Benefits and perksWe don't just expect you to ship great software for nothing. Here's what you'll get in return:
Professional development: Our learning driven culture means you'll never stop growing. Everyone gets 40 hours of work time allocated for study, plus certification incentives and access to the latest tools and technologies. We're heavy users of AI-assisted development — tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot are part of the everyday here, and you'll be encouraged to lean into them hard.
Flexibility: Got responsibilities outside of work? We offer WFH flexibility for the days when you need to be home.
Work life balance: You're only expected to work during your work hours. Your number will never be given out to clients. Each shift includes a 1 hour lunch break so you can actually enjoy it.
Having a laugh: Unless you have fun at work, what's the point, right? Join in with our monthly free team lunches, awards, a huge range of fun events, active social club, and plenty of office banter.
Skills and experienceTo be seriously considered for this role, you'll need:
2+ years' commercial experience in a .NET / C# development role
Working knowledge of .NET Core Web APIs and Entity Framework Core
Exposure to at least one modern front-end framework (React preferred, but Vue, Angular or Blazor will be considered)
A reasonable grasp of OOP fundamentals, common design patterns, and why dependency injection exists
Comfort with Git, branching workflows, and pull request reviews
Genuine curiosity — you read changelogs, you try new tools, you form opinions
Strong communication skills; you can explain what you've built to a non-technical Partner without making them feel small
A tolerance for shifting priorities and ambiguity (MSP life is rarely tidy)
Bonus points for: SignalR, Azure AD / Entra ID, WPF, Azure services, working with AI tooling (Claude, Copilot, MCP servers), or any prior experience in an MSP or agency environment where you've juggled lots of projects at once.
You don't need to tick every box at expert level — we expect you to grow into the harder stuff. What we won't budge on is attitude and curiosity.
