ASD is maturing its architecture practice and is seeking a range of skills. Key duties:

  • Direct the development of enterprise wide architecture and processes that ensure the strategic application of change matures.
  • Demonstrate expertise in identifying and prioritising market and environmental trends.
  • Draw upon project management knowledge to contribute to project plans and documentation.
  • Anticipate major changes affecting the organisation and leverage resources to embrace and implement change.
  • Analyse very complex enterprise issues, applying architectural expertise to identify and recommend courses of action.
  • Accountable to identify compliance issues between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions.
  • Reviews submissions from projects and other ICT initiatives to identify areas of interface with Enterprise ICT Services.
  • Facilitates the review and evaluation of proposals against existing architectural standards, guidelines, principles, design patterns and technical reference models.   
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and a source of guidance for projects to ensure architectural designs and solutions align with ASD’s emerging Enterprise Architectures.
  • Works collaboratively with delivery divisions to ensure technology implementation within ASD are aligned with current strategy and requirements.
  • Represent the interests of ASD on a range of internal and external forums and committees.
  • Assist and report to the Section Head in the development of reference architectures, blueprints, standards, principles and guidelines.
