Product Compliance Officer

Perth, WA | Full-time

RCT is seeking an experienced Product Compliance Officer to join our Engineering team in Perth. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet all relevant government and industry regulations across domestic and international markets.

Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Product Management, Design, and Custom teams, you will play a key role in enabling the business to confidently deliver fully compliant products worldwide—without slowing innovation.

About the Role

As the Product Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing product compliance activities across multiple regions and standards. You will also support engineering and custom teams through risk assessments and compliance workshops, helping translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, actionable guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and research applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across global markets
Implement and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and approval frameworks
Work closely with design and engineering teams to collate compliance documentation for new and existing products
Liaise with suppliers to obtain third-party compliance and certification information
Support the development and maintenance of Technical Construction Files (TCFs)
Assist in employee education and awareness around compliance obligations
Coordinate and support product submissions to regulatory bodies (e.g. ACMA, FCC, CE, CSA, UL)
Partner with Product Management to ensure compliance alignment with target sales regions

About You

You are a detail-oriented compliance professional with a strong technical background and the confidence to work across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

Essential experience and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline (desired)
3+ years’ experience reviewing ISO (or similar) standards against product specifications
3+ years’ experience managing multi-product regulatory and safety approvals
Hands-on experience with ACMA, FCC, CE, CSA or UL certification submissions
Strong understanding of global compliance and regulatory frameworks

Highly regarded:

Experience with customs, import/export regulations
Knowledge of radio regions and regional compliance requirements
