Company Description APIWA MY REWARD CLUB is a long-standing, not-for-profit rewards and benefits program that evolved from the Australian Postmaster Service and Telecom Australia social club founded in 1925. The organization now serves members nationwide, offering savings on dining, travel, accommodation, insurance, financial services, and entertainment. Members receive significant discounts at major retailers, holiday homes across Western Australia, and popular attractions and events. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Travel Agent role based in Cannington, WA. The Travel Agent will assist members and corporate clients with end-to-end travel planning, including researching destinations, preparing itineraries, booking flights, accommodation, car rentals, and related services. The role involves managing reservations, processing changes or cancellations, and ensuring that members receive the best available offers aligned with the reward program benefits. The Travel Agent will respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and via email, providing clear and friendly customer service. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate booking records, liaising with suppliers, promoting relevant travel deals and packages, and supporting marketing or member engagement activities related to travel benefits. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in travel arrangements and reservations, including booking flights, accommodation, and package holidays.Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle enquiries, resolve issues, and provide clear travel advice.Practical knowledge of car rental and related ground transport bookings, including comparing options and managing changes.Sales and upselling abilities, with a focus on matching members to suitable travel deals and reward-based offers.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and inclusive approach to diverse customers.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple bookings and deadlines accurately.Comfort using booking platforms, CRM systems, and standard office software; experience with travel industry tools is an advantage.Previous experience in a travel agency, hospitality, or tourism environment is highly regarded.Certificate or diploma in Travel, Tourism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.Ability to work on-site in Cannington, WA, with flexible availability for part-time shifts.
