About the role

Travel Tree Australasia is seeking a passionate and experienced Travel Consultant to join our team in Claremont, Western Australia. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality and tourism environment. We have a strong mix of corporate and retail clients and will be seeking several positions. This role is integral to our business success and client satisfaction, requiring someone who can balance consultative expertise with genuine enthusiasm for travel.

What you'll be doing

  1. Working on key accounts in a team of highly experienced consultants

  2. Planning and organising comprehensive travel itineraries

  3. Providing detailed destination knowledge and travel recommendations tailored to individual client needs

  4. Liaising with airlines, hotels, tour operators and other travel suppliers to secure the best rates and availability

  5. Processing travel bookings, issuing travel documents and managing payment arrangements

  6. Keeping abreast of travel trends, promotions and industry updates to offer clients current and competitive options

  7. Managing client enquiries and concerns professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

  8. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

  9. Maintaining detailed client records and travel documentation in accordance with company procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of three years' experience with a strong understanding of ticketing

  2. Excellent consultative and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients

  3. Proficiency in travel booking systems and computer reservation systems (GDS)

  4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bookings and client enquiries simultaneously

  5. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure accurate itinerary planning

  6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage unexpected changes or complications in travel plans

  7. Professional presentation and customer service excellence

  8. Relevant qualifications or certifications in travel and tourism are advantageous
