H&C Urban Wine CO PTY LTD are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef for our kitchen operations and elevate the food experience offered alongside our wine portfolio. The successful candidate will be involved in menu execution, food preparation, kitchen staff, stock control and overall kitchen performance, while ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional, high-quality dishes that complement our brand. This position requires strong leadership, culinary expertise and a commitment to consistency, with a genuine passion for hospitality, food, wine and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and oversee the production of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation and quality.
• Develop and update seasonal menus that align with the restaurant’s concept, customer preferences and business objectives.
• Estimate food, labour and operational costs to support efficient kitchen operations and profitability.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies and monitor stock usage to minimise waste and maintain cost control.
• Supervise, train and support kitchen staff to ensure high performance, teamwork and adherence to operational standards.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
• Monitor the quality and presentation of all menu items to ensure an exceptional dining experience for customers.
• Adapt menus and recipes to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies and special customer requests.
• Collaborate with management and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of expereience in a related position.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate team.
• Ability to work in  a fast paced enviroment while maintaining attention to detail.
