The Wholefood Bakery is a family-owned and operated business based in Perth’s northern suburbs.
We supply wholesale, artisan baked goods across Western Australia — all made with care, passion, and a commitment to wholefood ingredients. Our products are crafted without additives or over-processed ingredients, and our focus is always on quality, flavour, and integrity.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented individual to join our production team — someone who enjoys working in a friendly, family-style environment and takes pride in creating delicious food.

The Role

This position focuses on cooking and preparing pie, sausage roll, and pastie fillings for our daily wholesale production.
The ideal candidate will have experience in savoury food preparation, strong attention to detail, and a passion for producing high-quality food consistently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking savoury fillings for pies, sausage rolls, and pasties

  • Supporting daily bakery production to ensure efficiency and consistency

  • Following all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures

  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

  • Assisting in other bakery production areas as needed to meet daily targets

Position Details
  • Hours: Early morning shift, Monday to Friday (start between 5:00am – 6:00am)

  • Employment type: Full-time, part-time, or casual — all applications welcome

  • Production focus: Pies, sausage rolls, quiches, and other savoury lines

Skills and Attributes
  • Experience in a bakery, commercial kitchen, or food production environment

  • Confidence with cooking and food preparation

  • Strong time management and ability to work efficiently

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Punctual, reliable, and able to handle busy production periods

  • Passion for food and pride in craftsmanship

Desirable (but not essential)
  • Trade qualification in baking or cookery

  • Experience with dough making and ovens

  • Willingness to complete an apprenticeship (available for the right candidate)
