Steps from one of Australia's most iconic beaches, Cottesloe House is a collection of Luxury Residences opening in 2026 — and we are looking for the person who will set the housekeeping standard from day one.

We are building something special at Cottesloe House — a property where every detail is intentional, every apartment is immaculate, and every guest leaves feeling like the place was prepared just for them. We need a Housekeeping Manager who feels the same way about their work.

Joining during the pre-opening phase, you will have a rare opportunity to build the housekeeping operation from the ground up. That means designing the room presentation standard, establishing the inspection and handover process, selecting and onboarding your team, and creating the culture and systems that will define the guest experience for years to come. Very few roles offer this kind of influence — and very few people are ready for it. If you are, this is yours.

This is not a clipboard-and-checklist role. It is a hands-on, craft-driven position for someone who has spent years mastering the art of luxury housekeeping and is ready to own the standard for an entire property. If you know the difference between a room that is clean and a room that is right — and you cannot walk past the latter without fixing it — this role is for you.

The Property

Cottesloe House is a collection of 18 Luxury Short Stay Residences located in Cottesloe — one of Perth's most celebrated beachside suburbs, home to the iconic Cottesloe Beach. We operate under the philosophy of 'Stay Well By Design': every element of the property, from the architecture to the in-room amenity, is curated to deliver a genuinely elevated guest experience.

We are a small, close-knit team. Every person on the floor has real ownership of what they do. There are no layers of management between you and the impact you make — when a guest walks into a perfect apartment, that is your work, and it matters.

The Role

As Housekeeping Manager, you will lead the room attendant team and take full ownership of the presentation, quality, and operational management of all guest apartments and public areas at Cottesloe House. You report directly to the General Manager and work in close partnership with the Guest Experience Manager on shift.

This is a working manager role. You will spend the majority of your shift on the floor — inspecting rooms, directing and coaching your team, and contributing directly to room completion when the operation needs it. The Cottesloe House Housekeeping Manager is the first person to pick up a cloth when the morning is busy, and the last person to leave until the standard is met.

What You Will Be Doing

•      During pre-opening: design the room presentation standard, build inspection checklists and handover processes, and recruit and onboard your room attendant team

•      Personally inspect every room before guest check-in — zero defects, every time, no exceptions

•      Lead, brief, and direct the room attendant team across morning, mid-shift, and turndown phases

•      Work alongside your team in rooms whenever the pace demands it — making beds, turning apartments, maintaining the standard under pressure

•      Manage all linen, amenity, chemical, and consumable supply — ordering, stock control, and storage compliance

•      Oversee minibar restocking, in-room collateral, and in-room supply presentation for all arrivals

•      Maintain all public areas to presentation standard throughout the day — lobby, corridors, pool surrounds, and laundry

•      Identify and log all maintenance defects, communicate urgent items immediately, and follow up to resolution

•      Prepare and manage the housekeeping roster in line with occupancy and the Hospitality Industry Award

•      Complete daily housekeeping reports and handover notes for the incoming shift

•      Occasionally support guest-facing and general operational duties across the property when required

Who We Are Looking For

You have come up through housekeeping, and you know this work from the inside. You do not need to be told what a perfect room looks like — you already know, and you cannot leave one that is not right.

•      Minimum 3 to 5 years in a luxury, boutique, or premium serviced residence housekeeping environment at supervisory or management level

•      Proven ability to personally inspect and sign off rooms to a luxury standard — and to re-do any that do not meet it

•      Physically capable of completing a full room turnover to a high standard when required — this is a working role

•      Experience managing linen operations, chemical programs, amenity procurement, and small team rostering

•      Calm, clear communicator — you brief your team with confidence and keep the General Manager and Guest Experience Manager informed proactively

•      Obsessively high standards — you notice the things others walk past, and you fix them without being asked

•      Discreet and professional — you work in guests' personal spaces and treat that with absolute respect

•      Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willingness to obtain) — desirable given the cross-operational nature of this boutique property
