Oral therapist & Hygienist

Singleton Dentist is seeking a friendly and experienced Oral Therapist/ Hygienist to join our multidisciplinary dental team in Karnup, WA. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with dentists, a dental prosthetist, dental assistants, and administrative staff to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care while promoting excellent oral health outcomes for our patients.

• Provide preventive dental care including scaling, root surface debridement, prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and fissure sealants within scope of practice.
• Develop and implement periodontal treatment and maintenance plans.
• Monitor and record periodontal conditions and treatment outcomes.
• Identify oral health concerns and refer patients to dentists when further diagnosis or treatment is required.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
• Work closely with dentists in the management of periodontal and preventive care patients.
• Collaborate with the dental prosthetist in the ongoing maintenance of patients with dentures, implant‑supported prostheses, and other removable prosthetic appliances.

• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist / Therapist with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Current radiation licence (where required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to patient‑centred care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a dental receptionist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in using D4W (dental practice management software) and other office technology.
• A friendly, professional and positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
