Receptionist / Administration Officer - Healthcare

About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist or Administration Officer with experience in the medical industry to join us on a part time basis with a minimum 40 hours per fortnight. Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on call or public holidays.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices. You will:

• Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospital
• Ensure all admission and discharge documentation is accurately recorded
• Ensure all patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciled
• Manage theatre bookings and ensure lists are distributed accordingly
• Liaise with Health Funds and complete checks
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital

About You:

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

• Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital setting
• A high level of computer / technical skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient Management Software
• Experience in FYDO or SimDay desirable but not essential
• An understanding of the Private Health Insurance system
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors and staff
• Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours throughout the Monday to Friday roster
