Dental Technician

DR Health ventures PTY LTD is seeking a skilled to join our team. This is a full time position, 38 hours per week, located in West Leederville, WA Australia.

Task & responsibilities

• Read and interpret written prescriptions, dental impressions, and digital scans
• Design fixed appliances according to clinician specifications
• Articulate models and construct bite planes
• Prepare models for bands and fabricate appliances (URA, Twin Block, retainers)
• Fabricate removable appliances using thermoforming and hand techniques
• Construct retainers, aligners, mouthguards, whitening trays, and thermoplastic appliances
• Utilise laser-cut models and digital workflows for production accuracy
• Trim, contour, polish, and finish appliances
• Adjust appliances to ensure proper fit and function
• Conduct quality control checks to meet laboratory standards
• Follow infection control, WHS, and laboratory protocols
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines
• Assist with band fitting and orthodontic procedures

Qualification & experience

• 1–2 years’ experience as a dental technician is preferred
• Qualification in related field
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Solid knowledge of dental materials and laboratory techniques
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and technical instructions
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
