Lupin Pty Ltd is seeking full-time Mechanical Engineering Technicians-MULTIPLE POSITIONS.
The full-time Mechanical Engineering Technicians support the maintenance, installation, and optimisation of farm machinery and mechanical systems. The roles are critical to ensuring that farm equipment operates efficiently, particularly during key production seasons such as planting and harvesting.
The Technicians will work closely with the Farm Manager to maintain equipment reliability, improve operational efficiency, and support safe machinery use across the farm.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting the Farm Manager with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of farm machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and efficient farm operations.
- Assembling, modifying, installing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and mechanical plant in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and operational requirements.
- Conducting inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of machinery and mechanical systems using mechanical engineering principles to identify faults and prevent operational disruptions.
- Performing preventative maintenance on tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, grain handling equipment, and other farm machinery to minimise downtime during peak farming seasons.
- Ensuring all assembly, maintenance, and installation work complies with manufacturer specifications, Australian standards, and relevant safety regulations.
- Monitoring the performance and reliability of machinery and equipment and reporting findings to management with recommendations for improvements and efficiency gains.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance schedules, repair activities, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
- Assisting with the implementation of maintenance programs designed to improve equipment reliability and extend machinery lifespan.
- Supervising and providing guidance to farm staff on correct machinery operation, maintenance practices, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ensuring all machinery and equipment are operated appropriately and remain fit for purpose in accordance with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and farm operational policies.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, operational efficiency, and equipment reliability across the farm.
