Electrical Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, design and develop electrical engineering solutions for automation systems, control panels, industrial equipment and power distribution requirements.
• Determine appropriate circuit arrangements, switchgear, transformers, circuit protection devices, cabling, control equipment and related electrical components for client projects.
• Interpret technical specifications, electrical drawings, Australian standards and safety regulations relating to electrical equipment, machinery, control systems and power use.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, technical reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate the selection, supply and use of electrical components, machines, appliances, control devices and equipment required for project delivery.
• Establish installation, testing and commissioning schedules for switchboards, control panels, cables, fittings, electrical machines and associated systems.
• Supervise and support the installation, operation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, automation equipment and industrial plant components.
• Design, install and commission control, monitoring, telemetry and signalling equipment for industrial and commercial applications.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal team members to ensure electrical works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all electrical engineering work complies with relevant Australian standards, workplace health and safety requirements and industry regulations.

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1-3 years of work expereince required.
