THE ROLE
Ora Banda Mining will be welcoming an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to the team. The role will be based at the Davyhurst Gold Mine in the eastern goldfields. Provide manual and maintenance support to our Maintenance team and develop trade skills to become a qualified mechanical fitter. - Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and compliant to current Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations
- Attend and participate in all pre-start meetings
- Monitor safety inspections and action items to achieve deadlines
- Actively promote safety, be curious to learn about safety and receive feedback
- General housekeeping of tools and work area, including workshop and maintenance vehicles
- Assist in storing maintenance equipment and supplies
- Assist and support Mechanical fitter with duties as required, includes fault finding to the fixed and related plant, troubleshooting, identify defective or worn components - support to replace & repair where required
- Support to complete work orders, inspection reports and provide verbal feedback to planners, as and when required
- Transport tools, materials, and work equipment to and from the workplace or workbenches as required
- Maintain work records and stock inventory as required
- Assist tradespersons as and when required

ABOUT YOU
- Completed a relevant pre-apprenticeship
- Previous experience in a role with manual handling and using hand tools
- Unrestricted manual WA driver’s licence
- Demonstrates behaviours that are respectful

- Open to giving and receiving feedback
- Enjoys a fast paced and challenging environment
- Can prioritise, problem solve and multitask
