Underraps is looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician with Applied knowledge of packaging technology to work in Sales Support, working production loft. The suitable candidate will be able to assist Clients to find the best fit of technology within the available product range. The role requires assisting with pattern design, pattern implementation manufacture and final fit supervision.
A Bachelor's Degree in design or mechanical engineering is required for this position.
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in packaging technology is essential.
Responsibilities include:
Taking sales related calls that have been directed to Support Staff;
1-3 years of technical sales or customer support experience is required.
In depth discussion with client based of product choice for suitability to specified project;
Application of previous knowledge and experience to interpret client engineers drawings and designs. Provide high level technical advice on Intercept product range and best for each project;
New product designs/layouts and manufacturing processes;
Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required for pattern design work.
Formulation of the quotes;
Capturing and collating information requirements off site such as
measuring, pattern making and SOP's;
Fitting of trial/prototype products – bags/kits/covers etc;
Attach all job information to CRM including;
Entering information and photos into the clients folders including Application reports, crosscheck on engineers specifications;
Updating/Maintaining master lists and pricing templates and SOP's;
Ensure completion of the job process and loft process;
Coordination with Project Manager info for site requirements – tickets,
tools, inductions, machinery etc;
Job scheduling liaison with the Project Manager;
Customer deliveries e.g. (Kits) application on site where required;
A current driver's licence is required for customer site visits and deliveries.
Oversee final fit of new kits; and
Final review and cross check with client.
