THE ROLE Ora Banda Mining will be welcoming an experienced Mechanical Fitter to the team. The role will be performed at the Davyhurst Gold Mine in the eastern goldfields. The 8/6 roster is available FIFO from Perth or BIBO from Kalgoorlie and only requires nightshift work approximately every 4th swing! Maintain all fixed plant and related assets for optimum availability Provide a responsive service to unplanned breakdowns Test equipment and ensure safety compliance Supervise and train apprentices Actively work to minimise equipment downtime by ensuring high quality work standards and practices are adhered to Offer suggestions for continuous improvement for expenditure and cost reduction ABOUT YOU Relevant Trade Qualification (Engineering Tradesperson- Mechanical) Understand general Mining processing plant operations and underground dewatering infrastructure 4+ years Mining experience witin a processing environment Strong fixed plant knowledge and fault-finding skills Strong mechanical all-rounder including experience with fixe plant maintenance, pumps, motors and gearboxes, and mechanical piping Experience in the mining industry conducting maintenance on crushers, mills, conveyors and pumps is desirable Current, unrestricted C Class Drivers License High risk qualifications - Working at heights, Confined space, EWP, Forklift, Dogging/ Basic Rigging, Crane General fitting skills & hydraulic knowledge Good fabrication & welding knowledge Precision Shaft Alignment knowledge Polywelding Certification Pneumatics/Hydraulics certification Provide First Aid Training Certificate Your motivation: We are looking for people who want to make a difference, love to challenge themselves and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
